Warm Winter

ASO_15

My warm winter fresh

Blazing snowflakes touch my nose

tingles of the warmth's mesh

I feel coldness instead, through my sews

Crunching of a white bed against my footing

taken aback to that one place

a place of love and soothing

a warm body in a meet of his face

I listen to the whooshing of winter rain

something impossible, stays awake

still reaching for the stars with pain

I embrace and rid the warmth in vain

  • Comment from author about the poem: It was really me trying to make something of my own thoughts. I wrote this with the likely of my partner in mind we are both immature and we are young. Typing this from my journal only making a few changes, it kind of enlightens me on the meaning. It can mean a variety of things to others so make it what you want. I really don\\\'t have a lot of experience as well.

    Good write Aso.
Erm, in the UK it was! - warm(ish) winter. Though a freeze for part of December, and currently.
But mild-ish for some weeks in a row really. How's it for you in USA?

Thank you very much! Where I live we don't get snow often but its very very chilly during December and January just like you so I'd say probably the same. During now, its starting to get warm with just a few breezes.
Also if you don't mind me asking, what'd you like about the writing or maybe any thoughts?
