Good Lord, our Shepherd, Saviour, King
Our prayers unto you we bring
Even though you know all that we
Need before we ask, so be
Yet we with you, we may commune
By day, night, midnight, or noon
You our heavenly Father, we
Your sons and daughter true be
Inspired by prayers of old and new
Set words, and in free-style too
Your Spirit to teach and to guide
In believers hearts resides
Seeking the things that be your will
And persevering on still
If prayers be answered soon, later
May outcomes cause thanks to stir
