It's easy to say
I'm sure we say it every day
"I give up"
Yeah we think it but we don't do it
It's easiest to say when you're falling apart
When it feels like nothing is working
When the hope is fading quicker and quicker
Everything's your fault and you don't know what you did
Giving up is harder to do than say
So we try again and again every day

(yep, Voltaire said it best
if you don't want to be bombarded
with that idealised ease of suicide
in each visit of ennui, of our lives
we must stay busy, find something
or a few things
that will bridge our survival path
from our constant lows
to that ephemeral high, we're gifted
once in a while)
