Love and Madness

Simply Marie

She would sometimes wonder who he was before the day he thought he loved her

A happy guy the way it seemed his friends were likely to describe him

And then it happened all of the sudden here she is now his life is different

From that first date until that starlit night when he asked her would she be his girl

It was so lovely snuggled on the lawn chair both wondrously gazing up at the sky

It's just a blur now with confusion somehow how could his love turn into hate

When he couldnt face his mother's death his girl held vigil until her final breath

When he needed comfort she would have held him but instead he chose to beat her up

Her planned escape would then be complicated by her unplanned pregnancy

She was so young and so niave thinking maybe the baby would somehow change things

But she was wrong he was not that strong the baby then became his useful pawn

So that if she left him they'd say she robbed him and the baby of a father

It wasn't true afterall it was just another convenient lie

It was so sad she gave all she had but love would not help his kind of madness

And now he hates her when he cannot control her it's just to bad he felt that way

When the baby needed the best of both of them It's just a crying shame he dropped that ball

    ''yeah, if only
    as that biopic title
    for all of humanity''
    thanks for sharing, dear poet
    if these words
    are born from personal experience
    I'm sorry for your suffering
    stay strong!
