The Face of the Beast

Rueda Saer

*

I am the Beast
but you will never see my face
for if you do we will neither one survive it

I am the Beast
I am beautiful
but you may not look upon my dark beauty
instead you must satisfy yourself with my proxy
my other face
the one you can't despise because it is just like yours

you see
in nominating him I chose wisely

he is Peace
he is Patience
he is Gentleness and Self-Control

I am Rage
I am Hatred
I am Vitriol and Thunder

I am the Beast and you have never met me
