To My Murderer

To My Murderer

Your words felt like hot coals as I swallowed them,

Your actions cut through my flesh, leaving pools of red blood,

Your lies made my heart crumble into pieces of shattered glass,

Your deception was so sweet that I drank it like fresh wine,

So unaware in my conscious mind that you were killing me so slowly

Drunk off the taste of wine, unable to see that you would kill me,

The sweetest touch, and the sweetest kisses, we fit together like the perfect puzzle piece

I took in all of you, your smell, your laugh, your highs, and lows, oh if I could have brought the moon to you, I would have,

Oh, how enthralled I was in your world, but I was a piece in your would of twisted lies and deceit,

You captured me, I was a conquest and you captured something so pure

When you were weak you sucked strength from me, my words calmed a raging mind,

My laughed picked up your frown, but oh my you couldn’t handle having such a gift

Slowly you bled me out

So, you murdered me

As I lay here in a pool of blood, bleeding, and my mind to frozen, trying to put it all together and a heart that’s crumbling

I lay with eyes wide open
