THE MASK

Randy6

Many wear a mask to hide who they are.

You can only see them from afar.

Low self-esteem from long ago.

You may judge them if you know.

So sad they feel they must disguise.

To be acceptable in your eyes.

They don't understand we're all the same.

No need for them to feel shame.

If they wish for peace that will last.

They must let go of the past.

    So true.

Thank you for your comment. As a pastor I've dealt with so many people that are afraid to reveal themselves. It's a sad commentary for mankind. We tend to judge others which prompts this.

A fine poem that carries a fine message,
So many minds are suffering from damage?

Me being silly - I wore a Guy Fawkes mask, and someone chucked me on the bonfire! Doh! (heehee).
