The Snake and the Dove

Carew

Why do we hate?

Unproductive and vile.

Is it something we create?

Are we naturally hostile?

Surely, not true?

Love and care exist.

Something to look to.

Important to persist.

Like light versus dark,

Love versus hate is constant.

If not blatant.

Which makes the lasting mark?

The choice is ours to make.

Some will choose poor.

Majority will act in light and love.

Learn from mistakes,

For good must be at our core.

Kill the snake.

Feed the dove.
