Blessed is the advent of darkness!

Zain Khalid

Blessed is the advent of darkness!

Lessened is the admiration of aching.

The source of enlightenment is that pain,

Which conjures the soul in weakness.

Nothing is the greatness of truth,

Except that which begins with oneself.

Hail the perils that brings one,

Away from all who cast reflections.

Rejoice in that moment of awakening,

Where the pursuit of desire demise.

Devour the essence of that time,

Which envelops one in eternal ecstasy.

Flow like a gust of blazing breeze,

Bit by bit, shatter thyself into pieces.

Release the essence of your soul,

For it belongs to the oblivious constellation.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I wrote this poem from my heart when I was feeling very low, and the fear of failure engulfed me. I made peace with myself. I\\\'m not an expert by any means by here is what I got.\r\n\r\nHere is another version of what you\\\'ve read above\r\n\r\nDarkness descends, a blessing to embrace,\r\nAching admiration fades without a trace.\r\n\r\nFrom pain enlightenment does arise,\r\nWeakness in the soul it does disguise.\r\n\r\nGreatness in truth is but a fleeting thing,\r\nUnless it starts with discovering one\\\'s wings.\r\n\r\nHail the perils that lead us to depart,\r\nFrom those who cast reflections on the heart.\r\n\r\nRejoice in that moment of awakening,\r\nWhere desire\\\'s pursuits cease their undertaking.\r\n\r\nEmbrace the essence of that fleeting time,\r\nThat brings eternal ecstasy to our mind.\r\n\r\nFlow like a gust of wind, fierce and bright,\r\nShatter the pieces of ourselves, take flight.\r\n\r\nRelease the essence of your soul,\r\nTo an oblivious constellation, it\\\'s goal.
