He said I have eyes of sea-glass;
As if he found them by the river
And placed them in a tumbler,
So that he could cleanse away the dirt-crusted dents,
Exposing the shiny green hidden
Only for him.
I would gladly let him
Chip away at all my undesirable pieces,
If he would just keep looking at me.
