New Hope

GabrielThePoet

I was lost in the world of gray

I began to give up on what people say

I lost all my faith in humanity

I also lost the little bit of sanity

but you showed up and turned night to day

shining so bright I've never felt this way

you blind the traumas that have destroyed my life with your presence

finally i have some silence

my problems still show their nasty faces

but you still stick with me even when I'm in my worst phases

there will never be anyone was amazing as you

finally I get to truly say I love you

    'you blind the traumas
    that have destroyed my life
    with your presence
    finally i have some silence
    my problems
    still show their nasty faces

    but you
    still stick with me, *even
when I'm in* my worst phases
    there will never be
    anyone
    as amazing as you'..
you have a wonderful natural talent for poetic realism, dear poet
    let your words simply flow
    poetry is unique, in that
    it needs no introduction
    or crescendo
    or too much embellishment
    we
    need only let our words
    resonate, by insuring
    we don't waste
    a single word, line..
    we leave the descriptions
    of clothes and weather reports
    to those bestseller novelists
    we scribblers and wannabe poet's
    jump-in head first
at that crucial point, and swim
    and swim
    in Poesy's eloquent, ink...
    (thank you for sharing
    these intimate words
    and please, forgive me
    if my reimagining
    of your wonderful poem
    offends you in any way
    I genuinely
meant no disrespect in doing so
I just wanted to share with you
how your poetry revealed itself to me)

no worries i love it when people add or remake something of mine because you have to like it in some way if someone wants to recreate something of yours to me it's an honor. I actually have one poem officially published in a collection.
