Momma said to me

Momma cried when I weren’t a child no more

 

Momma begged when she saw the love n life leave her boys eyes

Momma cried for her boy long dead

 

Momma knew his demons would keep his fire ragging

Momma knew her child was gone long ago

When she watched the fires light in her baby boys eyes

 

The demons were his friends now
