Prayer Pleas

orchidee

Tune: Hawkhurst

('Come, gracious Spirit, heavenly dove')

Psalm 86 v.6-10

*********

Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer

I call, believing you are there

Attend to my supplications

And answer here your needy ones

In the day of trouble I will

Call on you, trust for your help still

Among the gods is none like you

And your works none of them can do

All nations, Lord, who you have made

Shall come and worship, be arrayed

Before you, and shall glorify

Your name, and know your presence nigh

For you are great, and do wondrous

Works, and they are revealed to us

And you are God alone, you reign

In your power for e'er unfeign* (*true)

Nothing wrong with a bit of unfeignedness, Neville? Can you beat it, like an egg?
It's from part of a service '..... you who do unfeignedly believe His holy gospel.....'

Not a River, Gold, but some fields. Could be a River nearby, as there is near some fields about 2 miles from home here.

      Orchi,
A good way to begin a new day….
especially for the believers. Reading your hymn/poem this morning brings beautiful memories of my mom.
      Have a wonderful day.

Sometimes we all live on a prayer and a prayer almost solely.

Thanks CB. Aww, why they wish I would live on a wing and a prayer, and fly away, and sing some place else? They are horrible to me! lol.

Your unwavering faith is an inspiration in all that you write dear friend, and you never cease to inspire.

Thanks Bella. I knew a former mansion, now offices, with name of hymn title: Hawkhurst. But a bit smelly, and nothing mansion-like inside. It's gone from the face of the earth for ever now - demolished. It was mansion-like about 100 years ago. But a horrid, not gothic, but ghostly-type building.
The two cats I saw were not our own cats, though we do have two large cats ourselves!
