I shall never be your rival

e-magnani

I shall never be your rival-
You are my consort
For eternity.

Your poetic stanzas glorify the world
As you once told me in your verse-
This is my letter
To the World.

I suppose - truth be told -
You and I, we are one:
We share the same Title-
We share the same Soul.

Because I - too - could not stop for Death-
He kindly stopped for me-
As He did so for you,
In your Carriage of 1852.
