The Car Of Life

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Hey!

Let's inspire

Roll along the road

Before we die in the fire

I've always been something of a live wire

Reaching into your soul like a church choir

Just because you have a desire

You don't need to pump up that particular tyre

Obstacles carry on coming

Paintwork may chip

It doesn't mean you have to quit

Bodywork has become dented

Protect your mind from getting demented

Rust is starting to set in

Keep yourself away from the sin

Engine is still controlling

The car of life is barely left rolling

    Brilliant!
    accessibility a necessity
when utilising such a relatable imagery
as a window to the wisdom, imbued
    in your purposed poetry!
    thanks for sharing, dear Poet
(and society slows down, as we crash n burn
    conditioned, to think
must get that zoomed-in newsreel clip
    ...)
