Shine

Shelby Hines

When she allows herself to shine

It's the brightest light you'll ever see

When she allows herself to shine

It's the warmest light that can be

Gods and goddesses align

To see the sapphire in her eyes

When she allows herself to shine

When she allows herself to smile

Stardust lights up the sky

When she allows herself to smile

She is tender, she is tough

She is the tempest refuge

She is fire, she is ice

She's the poet's ideal muse

A beauty the heavens cannot deny

It's well worth your while

To see galaxies align when she smiles

When she allows herself to shine
