Making Out On a Loop

Making Out On a Loop

I think perhaps my love

it would not be

such a bad idea at all ..

If we, were both to die

right here and now ..

Held safe, that is and oh’

so very tight indeed ..

Each held fast within

the other’s arms ..

I swear though my love

there would be

no great urgency for us ..

In fact, no urgency at all ..

If you, but promise

we might again, one day

repeat or live

once more, those very

moments we just shared ..

And should there

be a heaven somewhere ..

Then may I most

respectfully suggest ..

We might well, just have

found it here

on earth, and hid inside ..

This very old

but cheap, hotel of ours ..

You've written brilliantly of the desire to capture the moment, the experience, irrevocably in time. Beautiful, alluring, well done dear poet!

Oh what an incorrigible romantic you are mon ami - who would not want to make out again on the premise of more heavenly repeats with that whispered ode in their ear ? ..........x

          'If you, but promise me'
          so tender, so subtle sweet
          thank you! dear Poet supreme
          (betting on life
with our heart's on the line
          as our way of life
          since that very first time
          our pulse, raged
to let us know, this is our stop
          all that's left now
          is return trips, of memento's
          being relived)

Thank you kindly brother Mek & truly ..
