Fade

Shelby Hines

A child of opposing stones

A blood red Ruby edition

With such a grievous pedigree

Life is a blind man's vision

No one seems to see her

Even in the light of day

It's easier, now, for everyone

If she just fades away

Didn't really know her father

Wore her mother's crown

When dancing with Abaddon

Your feet don't touch the ground

Perdition secures its home

Beneath a vacant stare

Solace lingers out of reach

For misery's silent heir

When the limelight dims on her

The players drop their act

It's easier, now, for everyone

If the stage just fades to black

Living in a feckless world

Too jaded to be afraid

Anger consumes her heart

And away she starts to fade
