Fluffy cat sleeping among the pillows

Whiskers McGraw

Upon a bed of pillows soft and white,
A fluffy cat doth rest with peaceful ease,
Her purring heard in gentle lullaby,
And paws that twitching seem to dream and please.

Her fur, a cloud of white and gray and black,
Doth gently rise and fall with every breath,
Her eyes, now closed in slumber, seem to lack
The movement and the wakefulness.

Her whiskers, long and white, do gently sway,
As if in tune with some unheard song,
And every now and then, her tail doth play,
A silent symphony, all day long.

So let us leave her there, in dreams so sweet,
Her beauty, in this slumber, can't be beat.
