Some men grow up believing they should never shed a tear.
Believing it's a sign of weakness or a sign of fear.
There was a time I believed men shouldn't cry.
That changed the day I saw my dad with a tear in his eye.
Now I've come to realize tears have a special place.
They bring our sadness to the surface and wash it off our face.
Without tears to float our hurt and dislodge them from our heart.
We may not be able to keep our wounds from tearing us apart.
