The Recruiters

Cedrick

He ran for his life

holding the hands of friends

Far from home

Distant from his parents

Out of their sight

deep in the pastures of nature

From the preying cameras

of the recruiters

For they wanted him;

and his family and friends

To take the marrow

That was stuck in the bones

Anytime,

His was on flight mode
