Weeds

abc

For so long I thought it was

Flowers you planted inside me

I wondered why they grew so slow

I waited for the bloom.

In September I found out you

Didn’t plant a single seed.

You didn’t water anything.

Weeds.

When you were gone something changed

They weren’t weeds.

Vines. Vines that I could jump across

To a better place than you.
