A Heart Like Mine

NewWolf

A heart Like mine is not a stranger to gullible.
It can sometimes get my body in trouble.
My eyes would leak, and my head would stumble.
Escaped of an appetite, my stomach would rumble.

Hearts like mine are a beacon for the wicked.
They search for it, to suck it dry from a spigot.
Use it up like a sauce, for their own gain and just lick it.
No concern for the carrier, this behavior they mimic.

To the next poor soul looking for happiness' love.
that euphoria of a realm time could never do much of.
A stagnant state that can spread or start a big fuss.
Usually, it overpowers but the battle remains tough.

Amongst those that never intended to be a match for me.
but a match to have the affect they needed me to be.
Maybe it's lust and infatuation, deception's lock and key.
A heart like mine accepts all truths as it's honesty.

That's why the many pieces when this fragile thing is shattered.
Why so much time needed when it's been neglected and battered.
Being patient while understanding will always really matter.
because a heart like mine isn't for anyone to abuse and splatter.

A heart like mine is well connected with my mind.
The worst prison on any planet, of any kind.
It gives one hundred percent, to anybody I love every time.
