Of Planets and Moons

lavenderlover

Of planets and moons

what a pretty sight

where no one can go

all but a light

I wonder if the planets feel lonely like i do

but then i remember their moons

and find that even planets have more friends

then i ever will

they shine and shimmer

flaunting their beauty to mortals below

knowing how much they are worth

and how little we are.

tiny specks on a rock

we mean nothing

i mean nothing

so why am i still here?

what keeps me tied to this world?

is it the love of food?

or the love of the people around me?

is is the wonder of the future?

or the haunting of the past?

will i ever know my true worth

or better yet my true meaning?

who knows

but maybe ill be happy
