I knew.

Poets Dream

Your crocodile tears tricked me and your peer’s.
Sweet little lies that always made me cry. Falling from your mouth like toxic waste.
I needed to escape. But I couldn’t. As I’m ashamed to say, I was addicted in a very wrong way.
Games i did not wanna play.
You never fought fair, you never had a care. I was just one of the thousand you played.
          I knew I shouldn’t have stayed. I knew I shouldn’t stay. I knew. I knew.
