Time Illusion

John Prophet

Time
illusion.
Straight
jacket.
Bounded
tight.
Restricted.
Between
the beginning
and the
end.
Trapped
somewhere
in time.
Where
existence
resides.
Dreams,
illusions.
What
to do?
How to
use?
Sunrise
to sunrise.
Sand pouring
out.
Shadow
Illusion.
Illusion
of existence,
reality.
Just a
mirror
on the
wall.
Times
reflections
wafting
by.
Life passing
quickly.
Racing
toward
a different
time!

    indeed, insightful Poet
    what to do?
    we be granted just, one
    lifetime
    to impact an infinite, universe
    a rather hard task
    unless we begin, perfectly positioned
    even then, empire sands
    foreshadow
    how fleeting our achievements
    appear, in the scope
of all those who came before
    and those, yet to come
    best, maybe to reimagine legacy
    manifest it
in each appreciated, bite of life
    simply, go with flow...
    we egotistically assume, we own
    our boat's of life
when in-fact, we merely get to paddle
    our path
upon that river of fate, that gifted
    us, breath...
