The ravines

a drop of mind

The droplets out of the ocean of time

painted deep and light with passions;

Both decorated and stained

now lost in the ravines of memory.

And along its crumbling edges I stand

naked and stripped off my, self

and I peep down in to my dusk

like a baby who stares at a broken toy, puzzled.

I was struck by its beauty and calm

and I felt the gore and the greed in it too,

and I ask myself in wonder

to which of these I should make a truce with.

The spectacles given had lost its lenses

and the frame just hanged

like a cobweb in my brain.

And all the meanings I treasured

become like footprints on a no man's land.

And the crutches that made me stand

has lost among the words I prized.

And along the cliff, alone I stand

tasting the sea and feeling the sun;

Fearless and fearful the same time

trying to find myself, in vain.
