Sitting by my grave

vrory

Sometimes I wonder if it's worth it at all
If my living has a reason
And my being has any meaning
If I even make a difference
Or if my absence would leave a mark

And whenever I am unsure
I think of her sitting by my grave
possibly feeling betrayed.
she makes me want to stay.

A tear etches itself through her skin
Rolling down like a wasted diamond
It burns from me within

Her pain makes my heartbreak
I wish I could hold her in my arms
But I realise it is all too late

A poem is all I left her
enclosed away bounded by a lock with a key I took

Perhaps she will never know how much she means to me
But someone who doesn't know us will know
That she made me stay.
