Black Embrace

Archdoom

The world was a cage, a rotting hell,

A realm of pain, a place of smell.

But then she came, a lover of fire,

Her beauty so dark, a burning desire.

Her black flames they soar, like a kiss from the sky,

A final embrace, to a world that will die.

For in their embrace, all pain is released,

A world forever, forever at peace.

Just the night, just the dust,

A world forever, forever to rust.

But in the fire, love and time live on,

Eternal flames, that will never be gone.

So let the world burn, in the arms of this muse,

A final goodbye, to a life we once knew.

For in destruction, a new world will rise,

A world of love, under eternal skies.

I like the triumph of love in the last line of your poem. Gives hope for the best.

I read it twice, just to get the feel right.
Light and dark entwined in the notion of everlasting love 📜🖋🤍
