War whine ..!

Myth

The evening was bleak and dull
My sparrow seemed gloomy and sullen..
Didn’t sing , didn’t dance, or jump to my palm as he used to do
I failed to tell him my disappointment or even sadness clue ..
In a world of hypocrisy, shame and disgrace
Where we store and pile weapons of mass death and killings of race ..
Yet, we failed to afford an eldery ailing man
A device to inhale, take his breath again ..
Or a mask to spare him a disease, suffering pain..

Message well poemed, so very apt and current.
Although depending on where you live , the denial of social justice may differ. For me it will be denial of decent income and a secure roof for the young.

Never the less, point well made..
