the universe

jark

the universe:
the twinkling night sky stars winking
overtop blinking distant cars on the other coast
home to home, yellowed glow, lightbulbs click
darkness sits
the wind reminds me it’s not so still at all
coldly creeping inside, stiff and stoned
lay into a tub of warm water and float
leaves and limbs wave gently as i play a medley
of stupid little and long songs i love so much
i bath now under the same tiny yellow sun
i saw so many of through other peoples windows
the night is so bright i often forget there are stars
sitting out at night
starring long enough
far far from town
you’ll remember again there’s life all around,
