Adorning

Fay Slimm.

Adorning.

Shallower sages would never permit streams of
night's glittering stardust to detract them from
edging each message with personal ego.

Meanwhile authentic dreamers reveal
their penchant for embroidering
that which cannot be sewn
and write to impassion
the marvel of sunrise.
True scribes add
zest to twilight,
with gifted
shadings,
coat nature
with word-flow
and paint phrasings
 richer by lyrical notes.
To the dreamy romantic
who captures fanciful verse
 thanks for bejewelling poems
with tokens adorning the ordinary.

Embellishing life poets slip outside reality
to spin believability then metaphors flying
steal time between worlds gems to compose.

    • Fay Slimm.

I was hoping you would see your own reflection in the poetic waters of imagery I posted today about adorning the ordinary and embroidering that which cannot be sewn You be an authentic dreamer as sure as cheese is cheese mi amigo.

such an enticing visual layout, dear Fay
I like that sand glass metaphor
      bridging poesy's differing generations
      while your words, accentuate
      distinct qualities
      that differentiate, between
      visionary poet's inking humanity's
      legacy insights
      and those, other
      trending poets whose fame hungry
      antics and shortcuts, insure
      their irrelevance in posterity's
      oh so judgemental, eyes...

      • Fay Slimm.

Your perception of what I had hoped would be understood in the posting today is a delight to know dear L.B. - - poets should always look inwards after seeing what appeals out there and try to write from the heart. Thank you indeed for your encouraging comment.

I shall adorn my comment with gushings, flattery, and drama-queen expressions, to say 'Good write Fay!' lol.

So glad you liked the read dear Orchi.

Dear Fay you strike at the core of a poetic heart. It is a whim, the sight of a flower or tree, a thought that comes in an early morning dream that provides the floss to weave a beautiful tapestry of words. It is a gift of which you are truly endowed. I just love it and it is a fav.

          • Fay Slimm.

To know the piece has reached your heart enough to write such a comment has made my day Bella - - a very apt word to apply to a poet's reason to write is the exciting "whim" felt at sight, hearing or touch of what strikes a chord in the heart. Bless you for the visit and comment on Adorning.
