The Pond

Cheyennekch

There is a pond for big fish,

and there is a pond for small fish,

and yet we don't fit in either.

We are out in the middle of the big ocean,

not knowing where to go or what to do,

but at least we have each other.

But what would happen if we lost each other.

What would happen then.

Would you go your whole life searching for me,

or would you forget about me.

It doesn't really have any punch

No you wouldn't - you don't have any idea from whom you are receiving commentary , and thus if it is valid or not..

If you get criticism, you don't know how qualified the critic is to make it.

Tried the link? I suggest there that you first have something you want to say to people, and you have chosen poetry as the best medium with which to convey that message (as opposed to prose, painting, film making and so on).

If you are some walloper wandering around smelling a rose and crying 'I wanna be a poet", ignore the rest of this and go stick your head in a bucket of very cold water.

So you really have something to say and feel poetry is your best medium? Find out what others do - suggested sources listed fairly comprehensively in my link.

Then come back with very specific questions.
