It Is What It Is And It Ain't What It Ain't

kespat@aol.com

Oh….you say you want it to go back to the good ole days

But what’s that I say

Good in what way

Ole how and for whom

Seems to me that them good ole days

Are right here and now

Do you see those flags a flying with those white Confederate stars

Those statues a standing

That others are trying to make martyrs

Well that don’t seem right to me

When my ancestors

Bent their backs

Crippled their hands

Sweated their blood

Into the soil of this land

To help make a better country

Too

You think this country is yourn alone??

Well fool maybe you’re the one that needs to go back “home”
