I just want to live in peace not war
There are many things I'm thankful for
My family, my friends, my health
Was once so vain
Just chased after toxic women and wealth
Sometimes we could all do with a little help
Get told you should love yourself
Many take it too far
Comparing salaries, looks and their model of car
Had to go back to basics
Not many will understand reading this
Apologies for swearing but most take the piss
I could have died
So many times I've cried
Know I'm only human
But my soul is tourmented inside
I try to be good and pray I go upstairs
At the end of this Earth ride

and I'm thankful for your bravely
relatable, poetry
it's soothing to read and learn
someone else, resonates
with our own vibrations of pain
dear poetic kin
(thank you! for being you
for chasing truth
for having hope, enough
to scream our loud
the injustices of our world..
it takes rare strength of character
to witness reality's chaos
without being warped bitter
I for one appreciate your poetic voice
and purposed volition, stay strong!
Thanks for reading and relating to it pal, means a lot!
