The Pawn

Jeannie

Feeling used

like a pawn in your

game of lies.

Only to be cast aside, to

be forgotten, until your

next move.

Not caring how

it feels to be exploited.

What it does to me.

Crushed by the

crumbling of heartbreak.

Broken.

'beware that dark empath, in your life'
approaching with smiles, that never quite
    reach their eyes
    and promises, worded too eloquently
    rehearsed

Thank you. I will try, but it is hard when it is a loved one.
