Zoning Out is Easier

Andy Kemp

I am stuck in limbo

Not moving up or down

Just floating in the middle

Behind a confused frown

I can't remember feelings

I can't remember light

I can't remember anything

Just this strange half flight

I open my eyes and then I see

A classroom right in front of me

But I'm not present

I'm not there

Just floating in this thickened air

With a shock I see my hand

It's writing something dull and bland

It's something off the board

But the memories not stored…

Suddenly I understand

And I understand in full

My mind has left my body

It's floated out my skull

It's actually quite peaceful

Floating in the air

I wish I could stay here

And leave my body in that chair.

Going to float through MPS too?

If you do put your feet down at MPS for a while, let's see some more of your (earthbound) poems.

    Enjoy yourself....
