The World Is Still Young

Trapped within a dream
of love that shouldn’t have been.
Rose untouched by time —
ripples of loneliness
tearing up the heart.

Far from sight
but close to one’s heart,
words whispered by time —
“To live is to lose,
to love is to be bruised.”

To find wisdom in one’s heart
to settle for what is right —
through thorns to reach the stars,
for everything else is a lie.

“Hush, my child,
the world is still young.
Don’t be afraid to let go —
goodbye is the remedy of old.”

Not keen on love poetry, but still wrapped up in your words and photograph.

      Thank you 😊
Oh, but love and despair go so well together 😁
I cannot say that, in the heat of the moment, I did not write some sickly sweet love poems, but mostly I came to my senses and started writing more provocative ones 💅😂
But then again, writing is a journey of exploration 😉

I'll go for the provocative whenever you care to lay them out....

Love and despair? they do go together, but if you have no objection (or even if you have) I'd prefer to forget... 😊
