Leave me

Addy

Can you see it

The mellow skies

The twittering birds

Just like you

Flying away from me…

Can you hear it

The crickets chirp

The rustling leaves

Where we sat

A teenage daydream

Can you smell it

The doused mud

The blooming buds

The one you picked

A love plea

Can you feel it

The velvet grass

The soft petals

We were side by side

Once upon a time

Can you taste it

The honeyed fruits

Juicy and ripe

The one you fed me

Why oh why?

Did you leave me

This is woefully beautiful. You set the mood alone with the title, but your the last line of your first stanza gives the imagery of it. Excellent piece, great job.
