In a world that seems so vast, Younger children are taking their last, Leaving us to question why, Their lives cut short, before they could fly.
It's a problem that we can't ignore, As the numbers rise, we need to do more, To be aware, to understand, To lend a helping, supportive hand.
We can't pretend we have all the answers, But we can break down the stigma, erase the cancer, Of shame and guilt that can surround, Mental health struggles, that are so profound.
We need to talk, to listen, to hear, And to know that it's okay to feel fear, To feel sad, to feel depressed, These are normal feelings, we all can attest.
So let's come together, as a community, To support each other, with empathy and unity, To let everyone know, that it's okay to feel, And that there's always someone, who can help them heal.
For though the problem may seem too big, There's always hope, and we can't afford to dig, Our heads in the sand, or turn a blind eye, To the struggles that can make us want to die.
We can make a difference, with our love and our care, By being there for each other, with kindness to spare, And though the road may seem long and dark, We can bring a light, to this important mark.
