sickly sweet

reneesunknown

once again picking apart my body

to pluck out traces of you.

i know all too well of this sickly sweetness.

it coated my mouth in sugar, and rotted my teeth

until all that was left was a space where your name rested.

i don't know how to love you.

your touch sears my skin

and settles deep in my bones like an aching pain.
