A Rope

Sebastian

A broken trust, shattered like glass,

With every piece, my heart feels the stab.

I've given all I had, yet they still pass,

Leaving me lost, hurt, and feeling drab.

My soul is in anguish, my spirit crushed,

As I try to understand what I did wrong.

I thought I gave enough, but they still rushed,

Leaving me in pieces, feeling like I don't belong.

I've tried to love, tried to believe,

That they would be true and never deceive,

But each time my heart gets torn apart,

And the pain keeps building up, tearing me apart.

I thought they were different, thought they cared,

But they just used me, leaving me so scared,

To love and trust again, what's the point?

When all that's left is a soul that's anointed.

The tears keep falling, I can't stop the flow,

As the memories of their betrayal won't let me go.

I'm left with nothing, not even a shred of hope,

As I realize that trust was just a rope.

So now I stand alone, with shattered dreams,

Of a world where trust still exists, or so it seems,

But reality has hit, and I know the truth,

That trust is something that can't be renewed.

My heart is broken, my spirit in despair

, As I try to make sense of this never-ending nightmare.

I wish I could turn back time, and change my fate,

But I'm left here in pain, with nothing left to contemplate.
