In a world where darkness reigns,
The gifted ones are cursed with brains,
Their minds too sharp, their thoughts too fast,
A curse that leaves them outcast.
Their brilliance shines, like a beacon bright,
A curse that comes with endless night,
Their souls consumed by a never-ending war,
A darkness that leaves them forever sore.
In the face of endless strife,
They turn to drugs to numb their life,
A fleeting sense of peace, a brief reprieve,
But the cost is steep, their souls to cleave.
The chemicals course through their veins,
A temporary escape from their brains,
But the toll is high, the cost too dear,
A black hole consuming, leaving nothing but fear.
Their eyes once bright, now hollow and dark,
Their souls consumed by the drugs' deadly mark,
Their bodies a shell, their minds no more,
A warning to all, of what's in store.
In this world of shadows and despair,
The geniuses are doomed to care,
Their brilliance a curse, their lives a fight,
A society that crushes them with all its might.
Their minds too sharp for a world so cold,
A fate sealed, like a death foretold,
Their souls consumed, their spirits crushed,
Their pain forever etched, never to be hushed.
In a world so bleak and filled with dread,
The gifted ones face torment and dead,
They struggle on through endless strife,
Their souls scarred, their light dims in life.
The curse of genius, a burden so steep,
Their brilliance lost, their souls to keep,
In a world where only the mindless thrive,
The geniuses are left to suffer and strive.
Their minds too great for a world so grim,
Their souls consumed, like a never-ending hymn,
Their fate sealed, their brilliance a curse,
A warning to all, of what is worse.
For in this world of darkness and strife,
The geniuses are cursed with a gift so rife,
A curse that leaves them forever bound,
Their souls consumed, their spirits drowned.
So let us not forget the cost they pay,
The geniuses who fall, consumed by the drugs' deadly sway,
Their minds lost, their souls consumed,
A warning to all, of the curse of genius, forever doomed.
