My world is shifting view

Rejection and acceptance draws near

Both at war with each other and hidden by the fog of the future

How can I say I’m worth anything 

If its not confirmed by people I’ve never met

Am I any different than the people around me

Am I something more than the anxiety in my stomach

The doubt in my head

The whispers of my heart

I know I will go on one way or another

But how long until I look back upon an unrecognizable past

Will the future let me know when it has arrived 

Or will I continue to look forward as it passes me by

Here comes a new day

I will embrace it 

I’m not sure how different my world will look a year from now

But I am sure of one thing

Days continue to pass and minutes continue to tick by

Time will forever move forward so I must move with it
