Silver Knight

Joakim Bergen

Silver knight,

Clad in moonlight,

Threads on the silky

Light of streetlamps,

Carrying snowflakes

In his arms,

He lulls the town

Into sapphire sleep.

Silent night

Pierc’d by shine

Of diamond;

‘Tis the silver knight

Racing thru the sky.

He strews crystals

Onto night’s canvas,

And soon enough,

The sapphire turns

To white.
