an unfinshed ending

H. Jordan

There are rose petals on my cheeks

There's a name on my lips

Why would I want to hold onto someone

Who doesn't care enough to try

Blinding lights block my vision

Fog clouds my head

Why do you confuse me so

Do you see through my stupid lies

Can you please look through me

I remember when we used to talk until the early hours of the morning

And now we text in one-word answers

Watch me choke on my indifference

The untruth hiding behind my apathy
