F Stop (+1)

Kurt Philip Behm

Its focus changes with the light

in angles newly formed

Exposing what your fear would hide

in images reborn

The camera always sees the truth

its lens encaptures time

Each moment frozen then set free

—in search of the sublime

(Dreamsleep: February, 2023)

Approaching Storm

The graves have been dug

all bugles away

Medals awarded

for valor displayed

The soldiers in transit

to homes once so dear

But where is the peace

—when gunfire you hear

    Dear Kurt,
    Two amazing poems.
    ā€¢ ā€œF Stopā€
I liked the messageā€¦my interpretation of
    it.
ā€œ Each moment frozen then set free
ā€”in search of the sublimeā€ā€¦ POWERFUL!

    ā€¢ ā€œApproaching Stormā€
As I was reading this poem, I felt an overwhelming sadnessā€¦then I read your note, (Opening Poem To My New Novel: ā€˜Approaching Stormā€™). This truly excited me. Iā€™m thrilled to have learned that another novel authored by you is in progress.
Thank you for the great newsā£ļø
