Motherless child

Mya_5718

I am a motherless child.

A motherless child,

a child with no mother,

Physically,

Mentally,

Emotionally,

Or Spiritually.

No, my mother isn’t dead but she might as well be.

My mother isn’t on drugs but she might as well be.

My mother isn’t in jail but she might as well be.

She just loves to be free,

Left her child with no mother,

A motherless child.

Everybody judges and says “why are you like that towards your mother. Show her sum respect .. she’s your mother “

But nobody know the story.

Nobody cares to ask.

Quite frankly I look at them like I look at her.

Your  on the outside looking in,

Everything isn’t what it seem,

Don’t go and judge that book by it’s cover just yet.

This motherless child don’t need sympathy,

This motherless child just wants to be hear,

Given a chance to explain herself,

This motherless child doesn’t want to be portrayed as the villain,

She wants to be understood for why she does what she does,

This motherless child just wants to be a child with a mother,

But you can’t get everything you want in life, right?

A motherless child,

One who is lost in life no guidance,

Her head isn’t on straight,

Everything is unstable,

She’s falling a part while picking up the pieces,

Everybody she cares about is giving up on her,

Her soul is numb,

That fire she had inside of her is gone.

She’s a child with no mother,

A motherless child.

A child who craves love,

A child who wants to be acknowledged,

A child who wants someone to be proud of her,

A child who wants to be enough.

But enough is to hard to be for her.

Closes herself off to the world because the one person who was supposed to be there for her failed her,

Didn’t care for her,

Didn’t love her.

She’s a child with no mother,

A motherless child,

A long way from home,

While on a highway to hell,

A motherless child who has a story to tell,

Would you listen?

She’s a child who can’t love others cause she can’t love herself,

A child who wished to only die for years,

A child who wanted peace but didn’t understand how to get it,

A motherless child,

She has no voice,

No confidence.

She’s always compared to her mother,

What mother?

She’s told she just like her mother,

How would she know? she was abandoned along time ago .

Left to deal with this fucked up life all by herself,

Left with a wounded heart,

A place missing where she longed for her mothers love to fill,

But she’s all grown up now,

She’s learned that she doesn’t need her mother’s love,

She has just sewn the heart to fill that missing space,

Not knowing it has left complications.

She’s a girl who just wants to survive,

If only she could make it a couple more years she’ll be free,

But would she?

She’s still a motherless child.

She’s labeled as damaged,

Worthless,

Hot headed,

A fuck up .

A child with no mother,

A motherless child ,

She loved her mother,

She always tried to have a relationship with her,

She loved her more than she loved herself ,

That love turned to hatred.

She wished everyday that she could sit and talk to her mother,

Let her know “Mama your baby’s tired”,

Feel like a normal girl for once,

Not a burden,

A mistake,

A waste of space.

Only time she gets to speak her piece is when she’s yelling her point across,

Even with the arguments her mother voices she doesn’t care,

The threats,

The fights,

The disrespect,

The abuse,

All show that she will forever be a motherless child,

she will never get to fill that hole in her heart,

She will never feel loved,

She’s a child with no mother,

A motherless child.

Seems like a wonderful petition.. declaration of stored love for someone refused to receive that hectic love .. in all these emotions I found a tiny margin of forgiveness .. I hope you allow that margin to grow and spread to heal all pains and bitterness ..
