The Complexity of Being Human.

Aurelian Swift

We are a mystery, a puzzle to solve,

Complex creatures, difficult to revolve.

Our minds, our hearts, our souls intertwined,

A labyrinth of thoughts, feelings, and designs.

We build, we create, we destroy, we hate,

We love, we cherish, we seek and debate.

We are both kind and cruel, both gentle and rough,

A contradiction of character, so hard to rebuff.

We laugh and we cry, we hurt and we heal,

We conquer and we fail, we conceal and reveal.

Our emotions are vast, our experiences unique,

A multitude of colors, a palette so chic.

We strive for success, we yearn for peace,

We chase our dreams, our hopes never cease.

We search for meaning, for purpose, for truth,

We ponder our existence, from our youth to our youth.

We are curious, we are creative, we are wise,

We are stubborn, we are selfish, we are lies.

We are a paradox, a riddle to solve,

A conundrum of humanity, so difficult to evolve.

Our complexities are many, our potential immense,

We are the embodiment of life's sweetest suspense.

So let us embrace our quirks and our flaws,

For we are human, and that is the greatest cause.
