Equilibrium Prison

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

John Preston isn't here

But I like to watch this film with a beer

Equilibrium is a classic

Bale thinks it's far from fantastic

Bean wasn't in it long but his presence was felt

What happens when you take emotions away?

Have a political leader keeping everyone at bay?

A drone society

It's actually how we are living day to day

They don't want people speaking out

I see it clearly

Will true colours be shown?

I think, nearly

The real prison is in the mind

Think outside the box instead of stumbling blind

No books to read

Artwork soon to be burned

It takes willpower to think on this level

I would never sell my soul to the Devil

Knowledge is needed to succeed

All I see is capitalism and greed

Gun kata was stolen by John Wick

Which way are you headed?

You better think quick

Indoctrination on every news station

The blood will run red

Peel off the window sheet

The sky is blue above our head

After all the tears have been shed

What colour will your heart turn before you lie dead

    Brilliant!
    (Equilibrium, a foreshadowing
    depiction of modernity's impending
    1984
    more telling, than Orwell's own...)
    'Equilibrium Prison'

    'Indoctrination on every news station'
